This policy explains what personal information SimpleBridgeAI collects when you use simplebridgeai.com or get in touch with us, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have over it. We've tried to keep the jargon to a minimum — if anything is unclear, just ask.
SimpleBridgeAI ("we", "us", "our") builds custom software and AI-powered automation for small businesses. We are based in York, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom, and we are the "data controller" responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
For anything to do with your privacy or this policy, contact us at info@simplebridgeai.co.uk.
When you contact us through the website, by email, or via WhatsApp, we collect the details you provide. Depending on which form you use, this may include:
Please only share what's needed to describe your enquiry. There's no need to include sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account numbers, or ID documents) in a form or message.
Like almost every website, when you visit ours our hosting provider and content-delivery network automatically process basic technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request — in their server logs. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure, and protect against abuse. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
This website does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we don't profile you or follow you around the web. The site loads a small icon library from a third-party content-delivery network (see "Who we share information with" below), which may process your IP address purely to deliver those files to your browser.
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we must have a valid "lawful basis" for using your information. Here's what we do and why:
We will never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
We don't sell or rent your data. We do rely on a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run our business. They only process your information on our instructions:
We may also disclose information if we're required to by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We aim to keep your information within the UK or European Economic Area. Some of our providers (such as Microsoft and Meta) are international organisations and may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards — such as a UK "adequacy" decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it. As a guide, enquiry and quote correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, in case you get back in touch. If you become a client, we keep project and financial records for the duration of our work together and for up to 6 years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, we securely delete or anonymise it.
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls to keep your information safe, and we limit who can see it to those who need it to do their job. No system is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, just email us at info@simplebridgeai.co.uk. We'll respond within one month, and we won't charge you in normal circumstances.
We'd always rather you came to us first so we can put things right. But you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Our website and services are aimed at businesses, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we change the tools we use. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear.
Questions about this policy or your information? Email info@simplebridgeai.co.uk or use the contact form on our website. We're based in York, United Kingdom, and work with businesses anywhere with an internet connection.
